Hemlock Penn Dutch Shoot
April 21 – 22 from 7AM to 1PM

$8 per shoot. Kids shoot at 20 yard line. $4 Charge.
Kids up to 12 years old shoot the 20 yards max. Kids up to 18 years old shoot the 50 yards max.
Program runs from last Saturday in April till End of July,
Must shoot 5 in a league for score to count.
Hunter Field – 28 targets ranging 11 yards to 80 yards – distances are marked.
You shoot 4 arrows at each target for a total of 112 arrows per shoot – It is an endurance test!
No Crossbows are allowed on the courses.
All targets are Paper.
Summer Field League
We are starting a summer field league at Hemlock.
What is Field Archery?
Field archery is shot on a course that runs along the property. Ranges vary from 80 yard shots (only one arrow per 14 targets) down to as little as 10 yards with all yardages marked. We will be using the PSAA rules for shooting distance for age and equipment. This means the kids and the bare-bow shooters will not shoot the 80 yard end. Kids only shoot out to 60 yards. The yardage is less for the younger archers. 
You shoot four arrows at each target, scoring the center ring as five points, the inner ring as 4 points And the outer ring as 3 points, for a possible total score of 20 points.
We will run the field league using two man teams. You shoot 14 targets once per week (Sun through Sat), whenever you want using the honor system. Do not have to shoot with anybody.
We will NOT be shooting Thursdays or the Fourth Sunday of every month to allow the 3D leagues to have free reign of the property.
You get one extra week to get your score in. If no score, your average is used minus 5 points. To keep things competitive we will use a Handicap system (so the kids can beat the adults, Ha Ha).
Handicaps are as follows:
80% for movable/glass
85% for fixed pins
90% for youth, traditional/fingers
We will use team weekly score to determine the winners of the league.
Example 8 teams:
First place for the week gets 8 points, second place gets 7 points, third place gets 6 points… on down.
The League will run for 12 weeks. At the end we will run a league tournament with a shotgun start and after shooting do a covered dish picnic with burgers and dogs on the grill. Tentative Start Date is April 21st. We will shoot two weeks to establish handicap. I will try to schedule a meeting to discuss rules and answer any questions before we get started.
